This walk is not about speed or endurance records. It is about steadiness, reflection, and putting one foot in front of the other, values that closely mirror the therapeutic work Survive offers every day. The route will be walked over several weeks, with rest days built in, allowing space for recovery, reflection, and connection with the landscape.
Throughout the journey, Rachel will be sharing gentle updates along the way, marking each day’s progress and reflecting on what it means to keep going, even when things feel difficult. A small handmade teddy bear, created especially for the walk, will also “travel” the route, appearing in daily photos to symbolise care, continuity, and the presence of Survive along the path.
All funds raised will go directly towards supporting Survives counselling service, helping to ensure that adult survivors of childhood abuse can access long-term, compassionate support without financial barriers.
If you would like to support the walk, donations of any size are very welcome. Every contribution helps Survive continue its vital work.
Want to support or Sponsor Rachels Walk? You can either do this by our Just Giving link below or by purchasing a T-Shirt (coming soon) - see links below.
Thank you for walking alongside us in spirit.

Rachel has created an official Walking For Survivors charity t-shirt to help raise funds for Survive as she prepares to walk the Cornish Coastal Path.

The t-shirts are £20 / £26 each, and £10 / £13 from every T-shirt sold will go directly towards supporting the walk and Survive’s ongoing work providing specialist counselling for adult survivors of childhood abuse.
The date is approaching fast and we are asking for your support for Rachels Walk for Survivors!
